How to convert MS Project Program/ file to Primavera?

The easiest answer to this question is; there are no software or automated service till date can do this task completely! so what is the solution then? here you have two options:

Option 1: Import .xml file from MS-Project to Primavera P6.2

Primavera P6.0 and P6.1 does not support importing MS Project 2007 based projects.

However, if you are running P6.2, Microsoft Project 2007 files can be imported into Primavera, but, not using Microsoft’s .mpp file format.  In Microsoft Project 2007, the project must first be saved as a .xml file.  It can then be imported into P6.2. but P6 still give errors while importing from MS Project XML file so you will lose a lot of program data in the imported file.

So this option will not be effective as you will have error and lost data specially if you are working on big projects where no of activities is more than 500.
